GHD is seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and optimization of robust backend systems that power our products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, front-end engineers, and other stakeholders, to deliver scalable solutions that meet business objectives. You will participate in architectural decisions, define technical roadmaps, and drive best practices across the backend stack. You will also mentor junior developers, advocate for code quality, and help evolve our engineering culture. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex problems, innovate with modern technologies, and deliver high-impact results for our customers and users.

Key Responsibilities

Desirable Skills and Experience

- Experience with microservices architecture, API design and documentation, and modern testing strategies (unit, integration).
- Knowledge of front-end integration patterns, experience with JSON/XML data formats, and familiarity with version control (Git).
- Strong English proficiency is mandatory.
- Prior experience with Umbraco CMS (preferably version 9+) in core development and customization is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor peers and contribute to architectural discussions is highly valued.
