We are building a unified data strategy and enterprise data layer and need a Data Architect to lead architecture and governance on AWS. You will define blueprints, guide workstreams with the client and AWS, and ensure solutions follow AWS cloud-native best practices and the Well-Architected Framework—apply now.
Responsibilities
Design scalable data models for ad delivery, audience segmentation, campaign reporting, and billing that fit the client's current systems and enable migration to the future-state architecture
Architect data solutions using AWS services that comply with the program’s approved tech stack
Define data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration patterns for batch and real-time streams (e.g. ad impressions, click events, audience signals)
Establish data governance standards, including lineage, cataloging, access controls, and compliance with the client's privacy and security requirements (per the Technical Security Plan)
Build integration points between the client's legacy systems and the new microservices-based platform, ensuring data flows are clearly defined and documented
Maintain data architecture artifacts such as ERDs, data flow diagrams, schema definitions, and data dictionaries
Partner with the client and AWS as an SME, driving data strategy and alignment across workstreams
Requirements
Extensive experience in data strategy and data governance (8+ years)
Hands-on background in data modeling and ETL / data integration (6+ years)
Proven track record creating architecture blueprints (2+ years dedicated)
Practical proficiency with Apache Iceberg
Working knowledge of Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio
English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
Experience in the ad tech / media domain
Knowledge of microservices integration patterns
Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools
