Offtake Management Associate – Santiago, Chile
Join a general leader in renewable energy infrastructure. CIP Terra Technologies is seeking an Offtake Management Associate to support our team in Santiago, Chile.
Team
Terra Technologies brings deep development and investment knowledge across emerging renewable energy markets and technologies. Its Santiago team manages large‑scale renewable energy projects in Chile and Colombia throughout the full project lifecycle and all key delivery disciplines, including permitting, commercial, financial, controlling, construction, and operations. You will work closely with this experienced team in a highly global environment to deploy renewable energy infrastructure in dynamic markets.
Role
The Offtake Management Associate will support the origination, structuring, and execution of power purchase agreements across CI GMF’s investment portfolio in Chile, which includes large‑scale standalone BESS and solar‑BESS hybrid assets in all project stages— from greenfield development to operational assets. You will also contribute to commercial strategy by analysing market conditions and assisting in negotiations with utilities, end‑users, and energy traders.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the structuring and negotiation of PPAs and other offtake agreements, including preparation of commercial terms and supporting materials.
- Monitor power market trends, pricing, and regulatory developments to inform commercial strategy and timing of transactions.
- Provide commercial inputs to financial models,
investment materials, and project evaluations, supporting financing and internal approvals.
- Support interactions with offtakers, advisors, and internal teams to advance negotiations and contract execution.
- Contribute to RFPs, auctions, and bilateral processes by preparing pricing analysis and draft commercial proposals.
- Contribute to the implementation of an international carbon offset transfer programme.
- Work closely with development, investment, and legal teams to help secure value‑accretive revenue streams for projects.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of relevant experience in energy, infrastructure, financial, or commercial roles (IPP, utility, developer, consulting firm, trader, or investment fund).
Qualifications
- Understanding of the Chilean power market, PPAs, and energy pricing mechanisms.
- Demonstrated ability to execute detailed and efficient initiatives and plans.
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written; strong communication skills.
