We enable you to do an internship in almost any area and can tailor your internship to your needs. Your internship abroad in Chile may even be recognized by universities if you are completing an internship as part of your studies. Most internship companies are located in Santiago de Chile and other major cities.

We can arrange an internship in the following areas:

Requirements

Characteristics:

- Teamwork, sense of responsibility, flexibility, reliability
- Depending on the area and company, certain specialist knowledge is advantageous, but not a prerequisite.

Language:

- Medium to good knowledge of Spanish (A2–B2)
- We can organize a preparatory Spanish course in Chile.

Work hours:

- Approx. 35–45 hours per week




- Many companies provide a small allowance for room, transport or meals; no guarantee.

Insurance:

- International travel health insurance is required.
- Liability insurance with international protection and travel cancellation insurance is recommended.
- Accident insurance for activities in particularly dangerous areas is advised.

Vaccination:

- No special vaccinations are required in principle.
- We recommend consulting a general practitioner or travel doctor before travelling.

Visa:

- No special visa is required.
- We recommend contacting the Chilean consulate prior to travel.

Accommodations and Meals

Accommodation is in a homestay, similar to a host family. Rooms are rented to interns and volunteers. All landlords are open‑minded, hospitable, eager to host people from abroad.

Your landlord can be an individual, a warm señora, young professionals, students, couples or families. Homestay accommodation offers deep insights into Chilean culture and language.

We offer single rooms; double rooms are possible upon request. Internet access is available. You can book half‑board if desired. Free access to shared areas (living room, kitchen, bathroom) is provided. All accommodations are in safe locations with good transport links.

Most internship companies are located in Santiago de Chile and other major cities. ChileVentura has a wide variety network of companies as described earlier.
