Senior Buyer Specialist – Chile Diagnostica

As Senior Buyer Specialist you will lead and structure the new direct procurement area within the Chile Diagnostica affiliate, serving as a key element of the GARA strategic action plan.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the annual strategic sourcing and procurement plan for the main direct procurement categories in alignment with affiliate objectives.
- Lead end‑to‑end bidding processes, negotiation, and comparative commercial offer analysis with local and regional suppliers.
- Act as a strategic business partner, engaging early with internal areas to plan and optimize demand for critical projects and digital solutions such as LIS.
- Ensure strict compliance with all compliance, due diligence, and code of conduct requirements throughout the requisition‑to‑payment cycle.
- Identify, assess and mitigate supply risks through comprehensive SRM analysis and design contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Lead supplier classification, evaluation and performance management under SLAs and well‑defined KPIs.
- Configure, administer and train internal users on corporate procurement platforms and tools (e.g., SAP, Monday).




- Support technical capability development and correct assignment of product group purchase codes (JCCs) from business need to purchase order issuance.

Required Qualifications

- University degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Commerce Engineering or related fields linked to Procurement and Operations.
- 5–10 years of proven experience in procurement, sourcing or strategic purchasing, with a strong track record of leading complex tenders in industry or corporate sectors.
- High resilience and proven ability to manage pressure, aligning stakeholder expectations and senior executives.
- Advanced expertise in spend analysis tools, Category Management principles and procurement management applications (advanced SAP, Monday or similar).
- Analytical, agile mindset focused on results (savings, working capital, operational efficiency) and excellent persuasive negotiation skills.
