Position Summary: The Oncology Product Manager is responsible for the strategic development and execution of marketing plans for our oncology products in Chile. This role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate the complexities of the oncology market, understand competitive dynamics, and leverage insights to drive business growth. The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure our products meet market demands and deliver value to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis and Insights:
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the oncology sector.
- Utilize data analytics tools to interpret market data, identify opportunities, and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and analyze treatment guidelines and regulations affecting oncology products in Chile.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and tactical plans for product positioning, promotion, and market penetration.
- Collaborate with Integral Marketing teams to align local strategies with global brand objectives.
- Define product lifecycle strategies, including differentiation, pricing, and value proposition development.
- Product Launch Management:
- Lead the planning and execution of successful product launches, coordinating activities across departments such as Medical Affairs, Sales, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Develop launch materials, including promotional content, sales training programs, and digital marketing assets.
- Engage with healthcare professionals and KOLs to create buzz and drive awareness during product launches.
- Sales Enablement and Support:
- Provide ongoing support to the sales team, ensuring they have the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively promote oncology products.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to share product knowledge, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to identify key opportunities and challenges in the field.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and payer organizations.
- Organize and facilitate scientific events, advisory boards, and educational seminars to engage with the oncology community.
- Act as the primary contact for external communications and collaborations related to oncology products.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and analyze product performance metrics, including sales data, market share, and customer feedback.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and strategic recommendations.
- Use insights gathered to refine marketing strategies and optimize product performance.
- Regulatory and Compliance Management:
- Ensure that all marketing activities adhere to local regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the Regulatory Affairs team to ensure timely submission of promotional materials for review and approval.
- Maintain a strong understanding of compliance requirements and ensure that the marketing team is trained accordingly.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget for oncology products, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
- Monitor expenditures and prepare financial reports to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product management, marketing, or commercial roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on oncology is mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies and product launches in a highly competitive environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and market insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and internal teams.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
