Project Overview:
Mining and Metals:
Increasing production of critical minerals provides key components of clean energy technologies, from wind turbines to batteries. This shift to clean energy—and the need for commodities—is critical to underpinning the energy transition. At Bechtel, our teams extract these vital resources to support net zero in a way which is more sustainable than ever before.
Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for managing and controling the technical documentation and records of the project in the field, ensuring the reception, distribution, tracking, storage and traceability of engineering, construction, suppliers and contractors documents, in accordance with corporate procedures,
contractual requirements and quality standards of the project.
Major Responsibilities:
- Receiving, register, classifying and distributing technical and administrative documentation of the project.
- Keeping the records and documentary databases updated.
- Managing the documentation in Aconex and other document management platforms used by the project.
- Controling reviews, status and validity of issued and received documents.
- Coordinating the timely distribution of approved construction documentation.
- Ensuring that field personnel have access to current documentation.
- Managing transmittals and maintain documentary traceability.
- Preparing reports and documentary performance indicators.
- Supporting internal and external audits related to document control.
- Coordinating with Engineering, Construction, Quality, Contracts and Suppliers to ensure the timely flow of information.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a technical or professional degree in Administration, Document Management, Engineering or related career (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in document control of industrial, mining, energy or infrastructure projects. Knowledge and experience in document management systems and records control.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in document management systems and records control.
- Desirable experience in Aconex and EPCM projects.
