Job Description
ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central‑West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C;) consortium, will design and build the Central‑West Orana REZ transmission project. The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, enough to power more than 2 million homes each year. The project consists of 90 km of 500 kV overhead transmission lines and 150 km of 330 kV transmission lines for generator connections, stretching from Elong Elong in the west through to Barigan Creek in the east, via an energy hub at Merotherie.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrator and manage subcontracts
- Undertake negotiations of subcontract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with project/legal requirements and risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate contract documentation including change orders and correspondence, ensuring completeness and compliance with project policies and procedures.
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations, including deliverables, milestones, and payment terms, and take appropriate actions to address deviations and mitigate risks.
- Foster positive relationships with contractors and suppliers,
serving as a primary point of contact for contract‑related inquiries, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
- Identify contractual risks and liabilities, implementing risk mitigation strategies and controls to protect project interests.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a construction related discipline
- 7‑10 years of experience in contract administration, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex contracts on large infrastructure construction projects
- Experience working in a Tier 1 contractor environment
- Good understanding of contract management principles and practices applicable to construction and supply contracts.
- Strong proficiency in contract management software and document management systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
