PhD & Postdoctoral Research Opportunities through ANID Chile Postdoctoral fellowship calls through ANID Chile are expected to open soon, and we invite expressions of interest from motivated researchers working in interdisciplinary areas (both theory and experiments) of Materials Science, Physics, Nanotechnology, Photonics, and Quantum Materials. Candidates who have completed their PhD within the last 3–4 years, or who expect to receive their PhD degree before March 2027, are encouraged to apply. Our research interests include plasmonic metamaterials, hybrid nanostructures, conducting–semiconducting thin films, SERS, graphene-based materials, energy materials, quantum materials, magnetic nanostructures, nanomagnetometry, and NV centers in diamond. Role Description The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct advanced research in their area of specialization, with a focus on generating high-quality publications and contributing to ongoing projects at Universidad Mayor. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include designing and performing experiments, analyzing data,



collaborating with faculty and research teams, and presenting findings in seminars, conferences, and internal meetings. Qualifications Strong research skills, including project design, literature review, and scholarly writing. Demonstrated expertise in Physics or a closely related discipline, with a solid theoretical and/or experimental background. Proficiency in Laboratory Skills relevant to the research area, including safe, methodical, and accurate experimental work. Ability to perform Data Analysis using appropriate statistical, computational, or modeling tools. PhD in Physics /chemistry/science/nanotechnology/material science or a related field completed or near completion at the time of appointment.
