Role Overview

Sealink Marine Tech Chile is seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead, scale, and mentor our software engineering teams. In this strategic role, you will drive technical strategy, streamline software delivery, and align engineering initiatives with core business goals to build resilient maritime tech solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Engineering Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow cross-functional software engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Technical Strategy & Execution: Oversee system architecture, technical roadmaps, and delivery timelines using modern Agile methodologies.
- Resource & Process Optimization: Standardize development workflows, code quality benchmarks, CI/CD practices, and sprint planning.
- Cross-Department Alignment: Collaborate with product managers, executive stakeholders, and clients to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience:



8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.
- Technical Foundation: Proven experience in modern backend/frontend architectures, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices, and APIs.
- Agile Management: Expert-level mastery of Agile/Scrum delivery processes and tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Leadership Skills: Strong track record of hiring, developing talent, managing budgets, and resolving technical trade-offs.
- Languages: Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
