On behalf of our client, a leading general technology company operating in the energy and industrial sectors, we are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support international hydropower projects and ensure the successful commissioning of hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites worldwide.

Description

- Plan, coordinate, and execute commissioning activities for hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment (e.g. turbines, generators, governors, auxiliaries)
- Perform functional testing, system checks, and performance tests in accordance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and project schedules
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning and start-up phases
- Coordinate commissioning activities with customers, contractors, and internal project teams
- Ensure compliance with Voith quality, safety, and environmental standards on site
- Prepare commissioning reports, test protocols, and technical documentation
- Support customer training and handover activities




- Participate in warranty and service assignments when required

Requirements

- University diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience and technical understanding of rotating equipment such as turbines, generators and balance of plant equipment
- Traceable experience in Project management, sub-supplier handling and scheduling experience.
- Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, schedules and budgets.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fully computer literate MS office suite, as well as SAP and Primavera P6 knowledge.
- Competencies in AutoCad, Solid edge software or equivalent are desirable.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in English; due to the international team set-up additional languages are beneficial.
- Team player with strong leadership and project management skills.
