The HR Business Partner will be the local support of a specific region and location, delivering the people strategy and aligning business objectives with management and employees. This role acts as an employee champion and change agent, assessing and anticipating talent-related needs, and partners with other HR Business Partners and HR Specialist Teams to deliver value-added service and HR programs to management and employees that reflect business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a best-in-class regional HR Business Partnering function in the context of regional and integral HR team needs.
- Assist in delivering employee communication and partner with specialist groups to ensure coordination of HR strategies and processes across the region; ensure managers receive needed HR management information and interpretation.
- Provide relevant data, insights, and recommendations to guide decision-making related to talent management, including compensation, retention, promotions, and other activities.
- Ensure that global HR programs provide consistency across the business while recognizing the local diversity of the countries in which the organization operates.
- Manage and resolve confidential employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and elevate as appropriate for more complex issues.
- Maintain and apply in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with HR colleagues and, if needed, the legal department.
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees on all performance-related issues, including identifying key talent, organizational planning, career development, recognition and rewards, performance improvement, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Work closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Liaise with other HR teams to provide input on processes and policies, ensure these are followed,
provide feedback on regional/location needs, and assist in developing analytics and metrics.
- Conduct exit interviews and collaborate with HR People Insights to summarize and use data and insights to inform and improve retention strategies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience required, including an understanding of employment laws and how to effectively apply these within an organization in a way consistent with company culture and values.
- Ability to think at both macro and micro levels, connecting the dots for others, relating business strategy to people initiatives, and leading through periods of change.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, matrixed organizations with a flexible but detail-oriented work style.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, with demonstrable prioritization skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate group meetings.
- Ability to influence, coach, mentor, and advise as appropriate to help managers and employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, cutting through ambiguity and approaching problems in a flexible and creative manner.
- Comfortable with MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently; a 'can-do' attitude; high integrity and ethics; comfortable at all levels of the organization; tactful, diplomatic, and sound in judgment; capable and willing to professionally challenge others and manage the short-term conflicts this may produce.
