Job Overview

Markus EG Chile SpA is seeking a strategic and operational Mining Logistics Specialist to manage supply chain workflows, transport logistics, and heavy material movement for mining operations. In this role, you will oversee the inbound and outbound transport of industrial equipment, minerals, and hazardous materials, ensuring full compliance with Chilean mining regulations, site safety standards, and strict operational timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate, plan, and optimize supply chain and freight logistics for mining machinery, spare parts, bulk materials, and site supplies.
- Oversee transport operations, route planning, and fleet dispatching to remote mining sites across regions.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport contractors to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery.
- Ensure strict adherence to mining safety protocols, environmental regulations, SEC guidelines, and Chilean transport legislation (including hazardous material handling).
- Monitor inventory levels at regional distribution points and site warehouses to prevent operational downtime.
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze freight costs, and prepare operational reporting for logistics leadership.





Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, freight forwarding, or transport logistics, specifically within the mining, industrial, or heavy machinery sectors in Chile.
- In-depth knowledge of Chilean mining transport regulations, hazardous material transport standards, and customs clearance procedures.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM/SD, Oracle) and logistics management software.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills under remote and high-pressure operational conditions.
- Professional fluency in Spanish; intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
