NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.

The Role The provision of efficient and effective administrative/clerical support to a receiving unit to ensure the smooth running of the department and to release Clinical staff to perform Clinical duties In This Key Role,



You Will To provide administrative and clerical support to Ward Managers in the preparation of documentation for ward management, to facilitate the smooth running of the ward and to ensure that required standards are met (e.g. pay roll, monitoring annual leave, sickness, audits, etc).

The efficient and effective use of the PC and relevant software packages to produce work to a high standard and to ensure that accurate information is available at all times (e.g.

Microsoft Office Packages, PiMS etc).

The timeous maintenance of patient casenotes including the filing of all reports and correspondence to ensure accurate information is readily accessible in relation to planned patient treatment and care.

Daily input to the clinical information systems (PMS) in respect of all admission/discharges to assist in the smooth, efficient running of the ward and accurate collation of required statistical information.
