Job Summary

In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.

Major Responsibilities

- Responsible for multiple small projects or designated medium to large‑sized complex engineering assignments within a general business unit.
- Possess full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
- Participate in project planning prior to proposals to provide technical guidance in the engineering and construction review of proposals.
- Provide input to and own the engineering elements of a project capital estimate (proposals and execution) quantities and budgets.
- Review major changes or deviations in project scope, material quantities, budget or schedule, and assist particularly with defining the change, obtaining accurate estimates of the hours involved, and recommending budget adjustment.
- Ensure engineering efforts with Project Manager, Procurement, Construction, Startup, Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H;) and Project Controls.
- Direct the preparation of project studies, reports, forecasts, special engineering reports and plant data books.

Education and Experience Requirements





Requires bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) and 13–15 years of relevant experience, or 17–19 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

- General M&M; industry experience (preferred).
- 2 or more years of experience as Project Engineer Manager or Project Area Manager.
- Experience in M&M; engineering projects developed in 3D model environment.
- Site or operational experience related to M&M; business (desirable).
- Experience in projects executed with different engineering offices (workshare) (desirable).
- Experience in projects in all phases (Conceptual, Pre‑feasibility, Feasibility, Detail) (desirable).
- Knowledge in AACE and FEL standards.
- Medium to Advanced English level.
