Volunteer in a cat shelter Through this volunteer project you can help stray cats in Santiago. This project is dedicated to the rescue of stray cats in Santiago de Chile. Abandoned, neglected and abused kittens are given veterinary care and given a new home. The cats receive basic food, water, vaccinations, medical treatment and a socialization program in the home. In addition, adoption events are regularly organized for the around 200 cats at the shelter to find new caring owners. The private organization lives on donations and is happy about every helping hand. The following tasks are part of this volunteer work: Caring for the cats (brushing, petting, etc.) Feed the cats Playing with the cats Cleaning of the blankets and cat beds Cleaning and maintenance of the premises Clean food bowls Clean the litter box and fill up with new litter Accompaniment to veterinary treatments (not possible for all volunteers) Assistance with adoption events Requirements Qualities: A love of animals, responsible, able to work on a team Language:
mid level Spanish (A2-B1) We would be happy to organize a preparatory Spanish course in Chile for you. more info Work hours: Between 30 and 40 hours per week. Also available as a half-day job in connection with a Spanish course. Insurance: International travel health insurance is required.
