Overview Lanarkshire Dermatology welcomes two locum consultant dermatologists to join a forward‑thinking department that has become a leader in active clinical referral triage across Scotland. Responsibilities Triage and review urgent suspicion of cancer referrals, ensuring high‑quality dermoscopy images and maintaining skin‑cancer waiting times. Provide clinical assessment and management for patients, working closely with multidisciplinary team members including dermatology pharmacists and specialist nurses. Support consultant‑led surgical training and actively participate in the shared Mohs service within the Forth Valley. Collaborate with general paediatrics and regional paediatric dermatology to develop and deliver sub‑specialty clinics. Engage in teaching medical students and support research and quality‑improvement initiatives across the department. Develop and propose additional SPA time for activities such as quality improvement, medical education, research and appraisals.



Qualifications Board‑certified consultant in dermatology or equivalent clinical qualification. Proven experience in dermoscopy, skin‑cancer management and referral triage. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment. Interest and experience in teaching, research or quality‑improvement programmes preferred.
