Position Overview
The Business Case Management Associate will support the origination, evaluation, execution, and management of infrastructure and energy‑transition investments across Latin America. Working closely with senior investment professionals, the role focuses on financial modelling, due diligence, transaction execution, portfolio management, and investment decision‑making.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models for greenfield developments, portfolio management, acquisitions and creating scenarios for operational improvements.
- Conduct commercial, financial, technical, legal, regulatory, and ESG due diligence on investment opportunities.
- Analyze project economics, valuation, financing structures, risks, and return profiles.
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and materials for internal investment committees and senior management.
- Support transaction execution, including coordination of advisors, lenders, developers, co‑investors, and counterparties.
- Monitor portfolio performance and support value creation, financing, refinancing, and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct market research and identify emerging opportunities across renewable energy, battery storage, power infrastructure, and related sectors.
- Build deep knowledge of the markets, technologies, and sectors aligned with the Fund’s strategy.
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders and regularly share insights with the broader team.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, infrastructure investment funds,
or corporate development at an energy company.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, engineering, or a related field.
- Comprehensive analytical skills with close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Solid corporate finance knowledge, particularly in valuation and financial modelling.
- Effective communication, confidence to exercise judgement, and ability to engage with colleagues at all levels of seniority.
- Structured approach to complex tasks and ability to work well in demanding situations.
- Substantial experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self‑starter attitude and willingness to collaborate across teams to deliver results.
- Willingness to work in an international, efficient, and highly varied environment.
- Advanced written and verbal English skills.
