Java & Hive Engineer at BairesDev As a Senior Java & Hive Engineer, you will design and build high-performance distributed query engine components to power large-scale data processing. You will drive architectural improvements and optimize system scalability, ensuring our data platform executes complex queries with maximum efficiency.

What You'll Do Lead the design and development of distributed query engine components to support massive data workloads.

Optimize SQL query processing and execution plans to minimize latency and resource consumption.

Implement deep performance enhancements within database internals and distributed systems.

Drive architectural standards for scalability, reliability,



and technical alignment across engineering teams.

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical excellence and best practices in distributed computing.

What We Are Looking For 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Database Development, or a related field.

Proven expertise in Java and Apache Hive.

Strong hands-on experience with database internals, SQL query processing, and query optimization using Apache Calcite.

Demonstrated experience designing distributed query engine components and driving architectural improvements.
