As a Mainframe Developer, you will maintain and modernize critical COBOL applications that power essential systems in sectors like banking and insurance.
You will serve as a key link between legacy infrastructure and modern business needs, ensuring high availability and efficiency for large-scale data processing.
What You'll Do Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
Manage and optimize mainframe batch and online processing workflows using JCL and VSAM.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis for system failures.
Support modernization initiatives to integrate legacy systems with contemporary cloud platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Ensure system stability and security by adhering to enterprise coding standards and best practices.
What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Mainframe Development.
Proven expertise in maintaining and modernizing COBOL applications on IBM mainframes.
Proficiency in core mainframe technologies including CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM.
Hands-on experience with both mainframe batch and online transaction processing.
Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technical troubleshooting.
