Information Retrieval

Engineer at BairesDev As an Information Retrieval Engineer, you will design and enhance advanced search systems to provide users with highly relevant results. You will act as a key architect for data discoverability, ensuring that search infrastructure is both performant and intuitive.

What You'll Do Develop and tune search ranking algorithms to improve the accuracy and relevance of user queries.

Optimize indexing strategies to handle large-scale datasets while maintaining low latency.

Implement advanced retrieval techniques, including hybrid search and sophisticated scoring models.

Refine search infrastructure using Lucene-based technologies to meet evolving business needs.





Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate search capabilities into diverse platform services.

Analyze search patterns and performance metrics to identify opportunities for system enhancement.

What We Are Looking For 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Search Engineering, or Information Retrieval.

Proven expertise in building and optimizing search systems using Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or Solr.

Deep understanding of Lucene internals, indexing strategies, and relevance scoring models such as BM25.

Hands-on experience with query DSL optimization and implementing hybrid search techniques.
