Responsibilities
Site Commissioning & Energization
- Lead step-by-step energization sequences from MV/HV incoming feeders through MV skids, transformers, PCS, and battery systems, coordinating with grid operators and internal safety supervisors.
- Direct the integration and interoperability verification between PCS, BMS, and MV transformers, including permissive logic, protection coordination, and communication handshake validation.
- Issue Hold/Go decisions autonomously during commissioning milestones; document all deviations with technical justification and corrective actions.
- Execute and oversee pre-commissioning checks: insulation resistance, continuity tests, protection relay functional tests, transformer turns ratio, and PCS self-tests.
- Act as primary technical counterpart to OEM commissioning engineers (NR Electric, Kehua, Huawei, SMA, and others) during site visits, FAT, and SAT activities.
- Coordinate with the SCADA Engineer at the commissioning boundary: electrical systems ready for service before handoff to SCADA integration and telemetry verification.




- Conduct all commissioning activities in full compliance with Trina Storage’s EHS policies and site-specific safety plans; apply and enforce safe work practices during energization, HV/MV switching, and testing activities.

Documentation & Technical Governance
- Sign commissioning protocols, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), punch lists, and as-built records; ensure completeness of commissioning packages for Substantial Completion milestones.
- Identify, document, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and technical deviations through resolution; coordinate with EPC and OEM as required.
- Issue commissioning completion reports for each project, including test results, open items, and recommendations for O&M; handover.
- Maintain an updated library of commissioning procedures, lessons learned, and pre-manufacturing requirements derived from executed projects.
