As a Sr. Field Reimbursement Expert Retina Clinic - South will manage daily patient access & reimbursement activity for accounts in a specified geography to support the Alcon surgical and ocular health portfolio. Specific responsibilities include working with provider offices and outpatient facilities to ensure both providers and staff are educated on payer and reimbursement policies and procedures, coding, and claim appeals. This role will be remote with 60% Travel. In this role a typical day will include:
- Develop and implement reimbursement strategies and programs to secure coverage, coding, and payment.




- Provide direction and oversight for bid submissions, contract performance analysis, and follow-up.
- Offer reimbursement-related advice to product development, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical, and business leaders.
- Identify payer opportunities and issues, implementing programs to resolve barriers to entry for the company's products or therapies.
- Collaborate with Health Economics staff to evaluate the economic impact of therapies/products on payers, including government entities.
- Create and deliver training and education programs to sales force, physicians, home care agencies, case managers, hospital Chief Financial Officers, medical directors, billing personnel, and pharmacists in clinics and hospitals.
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring goals are met through self-directed work and oversight, impacting project performance and success, and contributing to the overall business strategy.
