Job Title: Civil Engineer

Location: Glanmire, Co. Cork, Ireland

Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a growing construction business specialising in reinforced concrete (RC) structures, Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF), and specialist formwork/falsework systems. This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer with strong site experience who enjoys managing technical challenges and delivering high-quality construction projects from planning through to completion.

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate day-to-day civil engineering activities on construction sites.
- Supervise reinforced concrete (RC) and Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) works.
- Support the planning, sequencing and execution of civil and structural concrete projects.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings and quality standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
- Review engineering drawings and resolve technical queries during construction.
- Monitor project progress and assist with programme management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Carry out site inspections, quality checks and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.




- Identify engineering solutions to improve project efficiency and quality.

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience working on reinforced concrete (RC) construction projects.
- Strong site engineering or site management experience.
- Knowledge of formwork, falsework or ICF systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and quality standards.
- Full driving licence.
