Job Overview

Alfela Finanzas is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Auditor to join our team in Antofagasta. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading financial audit engagements, evaluating financial records for accuracy and compliance, and providing recommendations that strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a solid background in financial auditing.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and execute financial audits in accordance with applicable auditing standards.
- Examine financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and propose process improvements.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports, documenting findings and recommendations.
- Present audit results to management and support the implementation of corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior audit staff and provide technical guidance when required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing,



or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial auditing.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, auditing principles, and internal control frameworks.
- Experience interpreting financial statements and identifying compliance risks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple audit assignments while meeting deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CIA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
- Knowledge of risk management and regulatory compliance practices.
- Previous experience leading audit projects or supervising audit teams.
