Role Description
The Coordinator of Volunteers is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and supporting volunteer initiatives linked to Minera Lumina Copper Chile’s community and social responsibility programs. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting and onboarding volunteers, scheduling and coordinating volunteer activities, and maintaining clear communication with volunteers and internal stakeholders. The role involves developing and delivering volunteer training materials, tracking participation, and collecting feedback to improve future activities. The Coordinator will also collaborate with community partners to identify needs, promote outreach events, and ensure that volunteer efforts align with the company’s values and objectives.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training, including organizing activities and supporting volunteer engagement.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to interact effectively with volunteers, community partners, and internal teams.
- Background in Community Outreach, with the ability to build and sustain positive relationships with local organizations and stakeholders.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives in a remote, part-time environment.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools (email, spreadsheets, online collaboration platforms) to manage volunteer data and communications.
- Prior experience in community development, non-profit, CSR, or social impact projects is preferred.
- Relevant education in social work, communications, community development, or a related field is an advantage.
