Distributed Storage Engineer at BairesDev

As a Distributed Storage Engineer, you will architect and maintain high-performance storage systems that ensure data durability and availability at an enterprise scale. You will act as a specialist in data persistence, translating complex consistency requirements into robust, scalable software-defined storage solutions.

What You'll Do

Design and implement distributed storage architectures including object stores, block storage, and file systems.




Optimize storage performance and ensure data integrity across large-scale clusters using C/C++, Go, or Rust.
Manage and scale distributed technologies like Ceph or MinIO to meet increasing data demands.
Develop and refine replication and sharding strategies to maintain high availability and fault tolerance.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to integrate storage solutions with cloud-native and on-premise environments.
Monitor and troubleshoot complex issues related to data consistency models and system latency.

What We Are Looking For

4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Distributed Systems.
Proven expertise in developing and optimizing storage systems using C/C++, Go, or Rust.
Hands-on experience with distributed storage technologies such as Ceph, MinIO, or S3-compatible systems.
Deep understanding of data durability, consistency models, and replication strategies.
