We have an exciting opportunity for a registered occupational therapist to join the Band 5 rotation within the Occupational Therapy services at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. This varied and interesting rotation provides experience within the acute services for a period of 6 months within each of the following clinical teams.
Rotation & Clinical Teams
- Victoria Hospital – Stroke and Critical Care (including ICU)
- Orthopaedics (elective and trauma, including the National Treatment Centre)
- Surgical
- Acute Medicine
- Medicine of the Elderly
- Palliative Care
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will have skills in the assessment and treatment of physical, cognitive, psychological, and environmental needs of patients and will demonstrate a sound knowledge of the occupational therapy process.
They will manage their own caseload, engage in multi‑agency working, participate in quality improvement activities, and work weekends.
The post holder should have the ability to travel throughout Fife effectively and may be required to work in other NHS localities.
Qualifications & Experience
We welcome applications from newly qualified therapists.
Applicants must be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
Hours
36 hours over 5/7 days, including weekend working.
