NHS Fife is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Clinical Staff Bank Manager – to lead the strategic and operational management of our Staff Bank service. This is a highly influential role at the heart of workforce delivery, ensuring that supplementary staffing services support safe, effective and person-centred care across NHS Fife.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of People and Culture Partnering, with Professional Leadership being provided by the Director of Nursing – Corporate Services you will provide professional and operational leadership for approximately 3,000 bank workers and oversee a service that facilitates around 76,000 shifts annually across a wide range of clinical and support services. You will manage a budget circa £400k annually.
You Will
- Lead the transformation of NHS Fife's Staff Bank service.
- Provide professional leadership and line management support to bank workers and Staff Bank colleagues.
- Drive recruitment, retention, training and workforce development initiatives.
- Drive strategic workforce planning through the utilisation of data and metrics to monitor supplementary staffing activity, budget performance and agency expenditure, identifying opportunities for efficiency and service improvement.

- Work closely with clinical leaders, service managers, executive teams and national partners to ensure workforce needs are met.
- Lead investigations, conduct hearings and support staff governance processes where required.
- Represent NHS Fife at local and national Staff Bank forums and contribute to strategic workforce planning initiatives.
