**Location**: Greater Santiago, Chile (hybrid; in-person as needed)
**Engagement**: Full-time contractor (with overlap to U.S. PT hours)
**Role Overview**
We are a U.S.based boutique IT and BPO services firm with growing nearshore operations in Chile. We are hiring a self-directed professional to own two distinct functions: full-cycle talent acquisition and on-the-ground operational coordination in Santiago.
**Recruiting is the primary function. Coordination is real, variable, and requires someone who is genuinely good at both — not a recruiter who tolerates occasional errands.**
Most weeks, coordination work will be light or zero. Some weeks it will run 15-20 hours depending on what we have in motion. You need to be able to shift between functions without losing momentum on recruiting. If you are only comfortable in one lane, this role is not the right fit.
**Function 1 — Talent Acquisition (Primary)**
This is the core of the role. Recruiting throughput and pipeline quality are the priority metrics.
- Draft, review, and post job descriptions across relevant channels
- Conduct structured first-round screening interviews in English and Spanish
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and hiring status reporting
- Coordinate reference checks and support offer letter preparation
- Flag pipeline delays or bottlenecks before they become problems — do not wait to be asked
**Function 2 — Santiago Operations Coordination (Variable)**
Coordination work is real and recurring but unpredictable in volume. In low weeks it may be zero. In active weeks it may be 15-20 hours. Examples of what this includes:
- Vendor and coworking space coordination — sourcing, comparing, managing relationships
- Document handling, printing, notarization, courier coordination,
and delivery runs
- Local onboarding logistics for new nearshore hires requiring in-person presence
- Government-adjacent filings or office tasks that require a physical presence in Santiago
- Serving as a reachable, accountable local contact when U.S. leadership needs boots on the ground
- Ad hoc operational tasks as the local footprint grows
- What this role does not cover: Chilean labor law, contractor agreement drafting, tax compliance, or entity-level legal filings. Those tasks require a local employment attorney and will not be assigned to this role._
**Qualifications**
**Required**
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-6 years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience
- Demonstrated ability to handle operational or coordination tasks independently — not just administratively supporting someone else who coordinates
- Experience hiring for professional roles — IT, operations, or corporate functions strongly preferred
- Spanish: native or fully fluent
- Experience working with U.S. or international teams
- Based in Greater Santiago; available for in-person coordination when required
- Able to overlap meaningfully with Pacific Time business hours
- Ownership of the full recruiting cycle — not task execution for someone else
- Structured, disciplined pipeline management with metrics they can describe
- Comfort shifting between desk work and field coordination in the same week
- Proactive communication — flags issues and updates without being asked
- Maturity to push back on hiring managers and handle ambiguity without freezing
- Clear, professional written and spoken English
**Compensation Structure**
**Base Retainer**
USD $1,900-$2,000/month. Covers full-cycle recruiting and coordination hours up to 10 hrs/month.
**Coordination Stipend**
USD $150-$300/month, activated in any month where coordination work exceeds 10 hours. Amount scales with volume and complexity; confirmed at month-end with a brief hours summary.
**All-In Range**

**Review Cadence**
